Also medical training did not teach us that we are not just physicians, we are also a human, a partner, a mother, a daughter or a sister.
I realized part of being an attending is to re-learn how to live as "a human", not just as a "physician." Accepting and embracing the FACT that we are human, not just physicians is where we start creating work-life balance in medicine.
